Artistic director and founder of the company Granhoj Dans.
A professional dancer since 1986, Palle has worked with a number of internationally acknowledged choreographers. In 1990 he made his début as a choreographer with the piece 'Torzo' and founded The Palle Granhoj Dance Theatre - which later became Granhoj Dans.
Besides choreographing for Granhoj Dans, Palle Granhoj has made 'Fra Aros med Eros' - the gala opening of the Aarhus Festival 2004 in Denmark. The gala opening included the opera chorus from the Danish National Opera, Aarhus Symphony Orchestra, Aarhus Sinfonietta and dancers – with a total of 120 performers on stage. Before this comission Palle Granhoj created 'KJp' for Nomadi productions, Finland in 2000 and 'Mette' for the Royal Danish Ballet in 1995.
